A Call for Justice: Motions Filed to Restore Seized Funds to Himalaya Exchange Investors

Motion Filed to Return Funds to Himalaya Exchange Victims

Attorney Bradford L. Geyer has filed a critical motion on behalf of over 6,500 victims demanding the return of funds seized by the U.S. Government from Himalaya Exchange depositors. The motion argues that these individuals—many of whom face serious risks—are legally entitled to restitution under federal law, including 18 U.S.C. § 3771.

The filings expose a lack of transparency, risks of forced public disclosure, and inconsistent instructions from the DOJ. They propose an organized, privacy-respecting process for submitting claims, backed by secure data from the Himalaya Exchange’s internal records.

The government has already acknowledged its intent to return assets, but without a clear path. These motions aim to fix that and ensure victims are treated justly—not punished further.
